Journeys to Treasury 2024/25
Sponsored by:
Journeys to Treasury guides treasury professionals through today’s ever-changing and challenging business terrain and signposts the hotspots to look out for. It is a roadmap for all stakeholders, including treasurers, bankers, consultants and technologists, each of whom bring their own specific viewpoints and approaches to navigating their ways around the issues facing them daily
Journeys to Treasury approaches issues from multiple perspectives, and is a collaboration between BNP Paribas, the European Association of Corporate Treasurers (EACT), PwC and SAP, which guarantees all angles are covered. The collaboration began in 2016 and each edition builds on the previous year’s conversation.
This guide contains many other inspirational insights offered by treasurers from across the commercial world. Engineering company Rotork, for example, transformed its Asian treasury operations and embarked on an ambitious project that included an intricate pooling structure. Meanwhile, Elevion Group’s treasury sought liquidity efficiencies and set out to dramatically improve performance by implementing a multinational cash pool.
Such efficiencies are also necessary for companies that are growing quickly, which is demonstrated with the case of Enhesa. The company has been expanding rapidly worldwide and, like many international companies, is confronted with the challenge of significant exposure to currency fluctuations. And with the Airbus case study, the nuances of risk management take on a different tone because of the sheer size of its business.
As a joint initiative, Journeys to Treasury highlights the various paths that can be taken when navigating the issues that treasury professionals face and presents different stakeholder perspectives – not just those of treasurers. There are many ways of mapping the current landscape, and while the destinations may be different, it is important to share information and ideas so that we can all head in the right direction.
