Fipto Partners With Spiko to Let Treasurers Earn a Return on Idle Treasury Balances

Published: October 05, 2026

Fipto, the modern infrastructure for B2B payments and treasury powered by stablecoins, today announced a partnership with Spiko to let clients put idle balances to work in regulated UCITS funds, from EUR balances and directly from EURC and USDC stablecoin balances. The investment service is provided by Spiko Finance SAS, an investment firm authorised by the ACPR.

Corporate treasurers operating on stablecoin rails hold meaningful working capital in position at all times: buffers for outgoing payment runs, collections awaiting reconciliation, and balances held against settlement obligations. Because stablecoin rails settle in minutes, at any hour and on any day of the week, incoming funds land sooner and then sit for longer, including through nights, weekends and public holidays, when no bank is open to act on them. Until now, putting that cash to work meant moving it off the platform to a bank or an asset manager, fragmenting the treasury view and adding an operational step to every allocation decision.

Fipto's partnership with Spiko removes that trade-off. The two Spiko T-Bills funds accept subscriptions natively in EURC and USDC, so a Fipto client holding stablecoin balances can allocate them directly. And the weekend is where the economics of short-term cash change: all three Spiko funds accrue every calendar day, so cash placed before the Friday cut-off keeps earning across Saturday and Sunday, with the accrual reflected in each fund's net asset value when it is published. Orders are executed at each fund's cut-off on business days, and redemptions return within one to two business days.

The offering is available to Fipto clients across three funds:

  • Spiko EU T-Bills Money Market Fund (EUTBL), a UCITS money market fund, available from EUR and EURC balances · 2.09% in EUR*
  • Spiko US T-Bills Money Market Fund (USTBL), a UCITS money market fund, available from USDC balances · 3.37% in USD**
  • Spiko Amundi Overnight Swap Fund, EUR class (Spiko Euro), a regulated UCITS fund, available from EUR balances · 2.84% in EUR*

* Net annualised yields as at 5 October 2026, €STR benchmark.
** In US dollars, Federal Funds Rate benchmark. Annualised net yield (after fees), before taxes. The rate is not guaranteed and may vary.

The stack is regulated end to end. Fipto operates under both a Payment Institution licence (ACPR) and MiCA CASP authorisation (AMF) in France. Spiko Finance SAS is an investment firm authorised by the ACPR, and the funds are UCITS approved by the AMF. Fipto provides the interface and acts as introducer; Spiko Finance SAS provides the investment service.

Each client is onboarded as a separate Spiko investor and holds its position in its own name, rather than through a pooled account. Fipto never holds the fund shares, and the funds' assets sit with CACEIS Bank, acting as depositary. The funds are not bank deposits and no deposit guarantee scheme applies.

Patrick Mollard, Co-founder and CEO of Fipto said “Fast stablecoin payment rails combined with yield on idle cash are what the finance of tomorrow looks like to us. Money moves the moment the business needs it, and does not sit still the rest of the time. And because the rails and the allocation run through the same API, the same flow works whether a treasurer triggers it, a rule triggers it, or in time an AI agent does."

Paul-Adrien Hyppolite, CEO and co-founder of Spiko added "Fipto's clients hold precisely the kind of short-term, operational cash that our funds were designed for. Distributing our funds through Fipto's platform places a regulated UCITS one step away from a payment balance, with the same standard of investor protection a treasurer would expect from any regulated investment firm."
