HSBC Appoints new Head of Payments and Cash Management in Latin America

Carlos Gonzalez Fillad has been appointed Regional Head of Latin America for HSBC’s Payments and Cash Management (PCM) business, effective from 1st February 2014.

Commenting on the announcement, Diane S Reyes, Global Head of PCM said: “I am delighted to welcome Carlos to the PCM team. Latin America is playing an ever greater role in international business and Carlos will be building on the strong foundations we have in the region, to help our clients make the most of the undoubted opportunities.”

Carlos will be based in Mexico. Reporting functionally to Diane S. Reyes and regionally to Eddie Norton, Head of Commercial Banking, Latin America, he will also join the PCM Executive Committee, as well as those for Commercial Banking and Global Banking and Markets in Latin America.

Carlos joined HSBC in 1996 in Mexico, during which time he has held a number of roles, most recently as Head of Multinationals for HSBC’s Global Banking business.
