New Board Chair Announced for European Association of Corporate Treasurers (EACT)

The European Association of Corporate Treasurers (EACT) has announced the appointment of François Masquelier as its new Chair as from October 1st. François Masquelier is the Chair of the Luxembourg Association of Treasurers, one of the founding members of EACT, and was up to now Deputy Chair of EACT.

Jan-Martin Nufer, Founding Board Member of the Austrian Corporate Treasury Association (ACTA), and Karen Van den Driessche, President of the Association of Treasury Experts in Belgium (ATEB), were appointed to Deputy Chair roles. Aleksandra Filipowicz, Board Member of the Polish Corporate Treasurers Association (PCTA), has been appointed as Secretary. Jean-Claude Climeau, Vice Chair of the French Association of Corporate Treasurers (AFTE), was re-elected Treasurer for the EACT.

After 6 years as Chair, Jean-Marc Servat has decided to leave EACT. "We would like to thank Jean-Marc for the work he has done to serve our association and to be the voice of treasurers in Europe. He has allowed the association to grow and to increase its membership and activities", said François.

“It has been a great honor to have served as Chair of the EACT and lead its Board of Directors,” said Jean-Marc Servat. “I am incredibly proud of our accomplishments over the past six years. We have served national treasury associations and their members across Europe. We have brought EACT to the next level. François has the collaborative mindset needed to lead European projects and he brings his considerable professional experience and energy. I am very confident in our future and in François’ leadership as we continue to grow and expand our impact.”

François has over 25 years of industry and treasury association experience. “I am deeply honored to have been appointed as the next Chair of EACT’s Board of Directors,” said François.

“François is highly qualified to help the association and its members in the most efficient manner possible”, added Jean-Marc.

François added: “I look forward to closely working with all our National Treasury Association members. I wish to continue the enormous work initiated by my predecessor and encourage collaboration between associations. We will continue to be the voice of treasurers across Europe and to monitor the different European regulations that may affect the profession. I am deeply grateful to Jean-Marc for his vision, dedication, and passion which led to the development of our organization, the increase of its membership and a better visibility”.
