Standard Chartered Further Strengthens Transaction Banking Cash and Trade Teams with New Europe Hires

Standard Chartered has announced the appointments of Andreas Bock, who joined the international cross-border Bank as Head of Transaction Banking Corporate Cash Sales, Europe and UK, and Christophe Baumann as Head of Transaction Banking Corporate Trade Sales, Europe and UK.

In the newly created roles, Andreas, who joined the Bank at the beginning of June and is based in Frankfurt, Germany, will lead the Transaction Banking Corporate Cash Sales team across Europe to further grow the cash management business with clients in the UK, Continental Europe, Switzerland, and Türkiye. Christophe joined the Bank in April and is based in Stockholm, Sweden. In this role, he will lead the Trade Sales team across the region and work closely with the in-country teams to further grow Standard Chartered’s trade finance business with UK, Swiss, Turkish and Continental Europe corporate clients, as well as drive the regional trade growth strategy.

Andreas Bock

Andreas spent almost 22 years at HSBC in Germany, Hong Kong and Continental Europe, leaving with the role of Head of Global Liquidity and Cash Management Continental Europe, whilst Christophe was at BNP Paribas in Sweden for 14 years, more latterly as Head of Global Trade Solutions Nordic Countries and before that spent over a decade across France, Ireland, Luxembourg and the United Arab Emirates at Deutsche Bank and BNP Paribas.

Christophe Baumann

Both roles report to Marion Reuter, in her expanded role since August 2024 as Head of Transaction Banking UK and Europe and Head of Transaction Banking Corporate Sales UK and Europe. Marion is responsible for the overall Transaction Banking business in Europe including the UK, which spans Trade and Cash Product, Corporate and Financial Institution (FI) Sales, and Implementation. Her role also includes the Transaction Banking Corporate Sales team in the region overseeing in-country Sales teams in the UK, Germany, the Nordics and France covering Corporate and Non-Bank FI and Public Sector Development Organisation clients across the UK, Türkiye and Continental Europe.

Marion has more than 25 years of experience in the Transaction Banking industry and has held several senior Transaction Banking positions across product management, sales and solutions development. Before joining Standard Chartered in 2013, Marion worked for Deutsche Bank in Germany and Switzerland.
