UniCredit Appoints Francesca Nenci as Global Head of Trade Finance

Published: August 05, 2021

UniCredit has announced the appointment of Francesca Nenci as the sole Global Head of Trade Finance. Francesca was previously co-heading the business line alongside Raphael Barisaac, who is now focusing entirely on his role as Global Head of Cash Management.

Francesca started her career at UniCredit in 2004 in the Institutional & International Affairs Department, before moving to the coordination of the Group’s International Network. During her time with the organisation she has gained a broad professional experience and has built on a strong track record in trade finance/GTB. Notably, Francesca was instrumental in the successful development of the bank’s Trade Finance OCR project, bolstering the digital transformation of trade finance by converting paper documentation into digital data via optical character recognition (OCR) technology – creating a far more efficient system.
