The Slovak Association of Finance and Treasury (SAF) was formed in November 1996, joined the IGTA in May 2000 and joined the EACT in 2005. The association offers a complex training programme leading to Certified Financial Analyst as well as different courses and seminars in finance and treasury. It also publishes a quarterly professional journal called FINANCIAL MANAGER (approximately 200 pages per year) and organizes annual international conferences.

Full membership is available to treasury management professionals or academics. There are no special requirements for Associate or Corporate Membership.

As of 2020, the SAF has 186 members.
