HSBC Appoints New Chief of Staff for Commercial Banking Asia-Pacific

Andy Grisdale has been appointed HSBC’s Chief of Staff, Commercial Banking, Asia-Pacific, effective immediately. Andy will be responsible for the development of key strategic, operational initiatives across Commercial Banking including Global Standards, Business Risk & Continuity Management, Product Governance, and Operational Distribution; as well as developing our Commercial Banking strategy across the region.

Andy will report regionally to Noel Quinn, Group General Manager and Regional Head of Commercial Banking, Asia-Pacific, and functionally to John Casey, HSBC’s Global Chief of Staff, Commercial Banking.

Andy joined HSBC in 1984 and has gained solid banking experience in branch management, risk and corporate banking. Prior to this appointment, Andy held the post of Head of Commercial Banking in Malaysia for three years. 

Andy succeeds Sanjay Prakash who has been appointed HSBC’s Head of International, Commercial Banking, Asia-Pacific.
