HSBC appoints new Commodities and Structured Trade Finance head in Singapore

HSBC is pleased to announce the appointment of Woei Kuen Yeo as Head of Commodities and Structured Trade Finance (CSTF), Singapore.

In this role, Woei Kuen will be in charge of articulating the CSTF strategy in Singapore, while working closely across several HSBC businesses including Banking, Commercial Banking and Risk.

As the world’s largest trade finance bank, we are committed to helping our clients connect to opportunities across the globe. Woei Kuen brings a wealth of trade and commodity experience to this role and will be instrumental in supporting our regional CSTF strategy.”

Woei Kuen will also act as Co-Head of GTRF Singapore, together with Joseph Arena who is Head of Trade, Singapore.

Woei Kuen has 20 years of experience in Asia Pacific in leading institutions such as Standard Chartered, UOB, Rabobank and Fortis. Prior to joining HSBC, Woei Kuen was Head of Global Commodities Finance, Asia, at Credit Agricole.

Woei Kuen will report regionally to Frédéric Giraudet, Head of CSTF, Asia Pacific, and locally to Kelvin Tan, Head of Commercial Banking, Singapore.
