Martin Bellin awarded World Finance “Entrepreneur of the Year 2015”

World Finance has awarded Martin Bellin, founder and CEO of the leading global consulting and software provider for treasury management solutions BELLIN, the title “Entrepreneur of the Year 2015”.

The renowned expert magazine for international business finance has been recognizing outstanding successes and innovations since 2007. This year included the category “Entrepreneur of the Year” for the first time in order to recognize the achievements of outstanding entrepreneurs in international finance. The magazine explains the motivation behind creating this category as part of the awarding criteria, “Entrepreneurs are visionaries who are instrumental in the success of a business. These awards recognize those special traits that make successful entrepreneurs so inspiring”. World Finance Magazine and the jury combined boast over 230 years of business journalism expertise.

Asked about the most important asset when setting up in business, Martin Bellin remarks, “The entrepreneur’s most valuable asset is his or her ability to clearly identify a client’s needs and to be able to not only solve their problem but to exceed their expectations. I’m very proud that my team and I have been doing exactly that for 17 years now”. BELLIN can be proud of a long list of innovations: in 2004, the company was first to launch a 100% web-based treasury management system; in 2005, they became the first provider to offer Software as a Service (SaaS); 2006 saw BELLIN become the first provider of a fully integrated payment solution; in 2014, a SWIFT connection was integrated into the TMS and a matching service was established; this was complemented by a comprehensive, integrated EMIR solution and a fully integrated trade finance solution in the same year. Since 2015, BELLIN has also been offering Treasury as a Service (TaaS).

Martin Bellin founded BELLIN in Ettenheim (Germany) in 1998. Today, the company employs more than 110 people and has subsidiaries in Vancouver and London as well as partner companies in Sweden, the Netherlands, South Africa and Japan. BELLIN’s software tm5, awarded best “Treasury Management System” at the Fintech Innovation Awards, serves all corporate treasury functions and provides an instant overview of groupwide finances, mobile and in real time.
