Misys, the leading financial software company, has appointed a new President and Chief Sales Officer, Simon Paris. As Misys continues on its growth trajectory, Simon Paris is taking responsibility for the entire go-to-market organisation, including sales, marketing, pre-sales and partners.

Simon will use his considerable experience to deepen customer engagement and drive revenue growth for the Misys Fusion software portfolio. He will be instrumental in expanding the existing customer base as well as driving new business from banks and financial institutions.

Simon joins Misys from SAP where he held a number of senior sales and leadership positions, including being the Global Head of Financial Services, and more recently Head of Industry Cloud. He strengthened SAP’s financial services business, expanding it to cover capital markets and insurance and growing its revenues rapidly, enabled by the partner eco-system he set up.

“Simon brings tremendous experience to our Management Leadership Team”, comments Nadeem Syed, CEO of Misys. “He has a great track record of evolving business strategy and bringing innovation to customers. His thought leadership and experience spearheading the global launch of SAP’s next-generation suite of applications will help greatly as we drive our business forward around our Fusion software suite. His excellent sales leadership skills will accelerate the way we deliver value to our clients.”

Simon Paris adds, “I am thrilled to be part of the next phase of growth at Misys as its clients benefit from the innovative Fusion suite of software that helps them solve their most complex challenges. Misys has built a great reputation as a leading innovator in the industry and I am looking forward to joining them as they continue to transform their clients’ businesses.”

Simon began his career at McKinsey & Company working on next generation operating models for retail banking before moving into consulting and account management roles at NetDecisions and Infor Global Solutions Inc. He has also held the position of Vice President for EMEA Global Accounts at HP.
