–       Misys FusionBanking Essence wins Banking Technology Readers’ Choice Awards 2014

LONDON – At the annual Banking Technology Awards, held on 20 November 2014, financial software leader Misys was named ‘Best Core Banking Product/Service’ in the Readers’ Choice Awards. This is the only industry award for core banking which is judged by banks themselves.

Now in its 15th year, the Banking Technology Awards have become established as the premier event recognising excellence in the use of IT in financial services. Banking Technology’s readers, which comprises over 22,000 senior decision makers within the global banking industry, voted for which system they consider to be the best on the market today.

This award follows the recent success for FusionBanking Essence having been named a Leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for International Retail Core Banking, earlier in November 2014.

“Over the last 12 months, FusionBanking Essence has been highlighted as leading the field in many independent analyst rankings and awards, such as this one from Banking Technology”, states Nadeem Syed, CEO Misys. “Each has recognised the business and technological advantage that our solution offers banks. We are delighted to get this recognition and we are steadfast in our goal to maintain this leadership and keep providing our clients with innovative solutions to meet their business demands.”

Misys FusionBanking Essence provides a comprehensive portfolio of componentised solutions for retail and SME banking – from digital channels to core banking. It meets the growing demand for fully integrated, yet componentised retail banking systems that offer retail banks a transformation roadmap without the need for rip and replace.
