Redhat goes live with AtlasFX to improve FX currency risk management program

Published

San Francisco, CA – Raleigh-based Red Hat, the world’s leading provider of open source, enterprise IT solutions, has implemented AtlasFX™, the currency and commodities risk management and analytics platform from Atlas Risk Advisory. The firm is using AtlasFX to optimize and advance their FX hedging strategy and improve month-end closing times.

Leveraging AtlasFX’s Transaction Currency Detail and Cross-Currency Analytics modules, the Red Hat treasury and risk team have been able to access and aggregate ERP data and analyze hedge performance. This has enabled the team to optimize their hedging forecast and strategy while also improving month-end close times with consolidated and automated reporting.

“We originally leveraged technology that only brought us half way. The entire analytical piece of the puzzle was missing,” says Emily Howard, treasury risk manager at Red Hat. “Now with AtlasFX, we get to see the full picture. Not only can we easily see where all our exposures are, but we can make the right decisions and know exactly where all of our FX gains and losses are coming from.”

The AtlasFX team provides a very consultative and efficient implementation experience which allowed Howard and team to start using the cloud-solution in just one month. Howard adds, “It was a migration situation for us and AtlasFX was great in terms of helping us prioritize our implementation in way that minimized any potential switching pain.”

“Emily and the treasury and risk group at Red Hat had very specific requirements around their current and future currency hedging strategy,” says Gavin O’Donoghue, vice president of technology at AtlasFX. “The Atlas team is committed to helping treasuries achieve scalable success with quality risk management capabilities that are purpose-built to efficiently deliver continuous intelligence and improvement. We are very excited that they have chosen us as their partner to support their mission-critical FX programs.”

Founded in 2010, AtlasFX helps companies visualize, analyze, and optimize their FX Currency and Commodities hedging strategies. Committed to delivering a client-first experience, Atlas partners w ith clients such as Starbucks, HP Inc., Red Hat Software, Celgene, Electronic Arts, AGCO, Dolby Laboratories, Lam Research, and SunPower Solar.
