SunGard Makes a Quantum Leap in Treasury & Risk Management

SunGard has introduced Quantum Six, a highly intuitive, web-based treasury & risk management platform that leverages the latest in cloud technology. Quantum Six offers corporate treasurers an ergonomic design for enhanced usability and mobility as well as a fully enabled web platform to help reduce total cost of ownership.

Enrico Camerinelli, analyst, Aite Group, said: “It is encouraging to see the evolution of a treasury management solution.  Treasury departments are being forced to transform their treasury operations due to constantly changing regulatory environments, economic conditions, and entrance into new markets. Investments made in technology to help ensure treasury departments can stay ahead of the curve are key to their success.”

“We have been using SunGard’s AvantGard Quantum solution for almost 12 years and regularly upgrade.  We see Quantum Six as a natural progression.  It is user-friendly and very intuitive. The biggest advantage with the new version is that we won’t have client installs, meaning nothing will sit on a user’s computer. Instead, the solution will live on a server which will make rolling out future upgrades much easier,” said Paul Fitzgerald, Senior Manager Operations, Tasmania Public Finance Corporation.

“Inspired by the consumerization of technology coupled with the challenges treasurers face around the world, Quantum Six is the product of a multi-year focused effort aimed to make the treasury solution easier to use, own and operate. In close collaboration with the customer base, the project involved iterative input from a beta team as well as intensive testing side by side with the development team,” explained Paul Bramwell, senior vice president of treasury solutions, SunGard’s Corporate Liquidity business. “This release is designed for ease of use and delivery whilst helping deliver performance and delivery improvements.”

Quantum Six offers sophisticated cash management, extensive analytics, and embedded risk modeling, all built on a platform designed for adaptability and mobility.  As industry demands change, Quantum Six can adapt – from compliance and regulatory requirements to increased instrument coverage.
