Waterland invests in financial software specialist Hanse Orga

Published

Hamburg/Munich – Waterland is investing in Hanse Orga. The holding of the owner family Lindemann and Waterland have now signed an agreement to this end. In the years ahead, the family holding and Waterland will furnish the software provider with substantial funds for further growth. Hanse Orga, headquartered in Hamburg, offers corporate customers software solutions and consulting for areas such as payments, liquidity management, working capital management and treasury. With some 1,200 customers, the company is one of the top performers in Germany. As a highlight, 15 of the DAX-30 companies rely on solutions from Hanse Orga for their own use or as a partner software specialist.

“In taking this step, we are laying the foundation for continuing Hanse Orga’s success story,” says Sven Lindemann, chairman of the executive board: “Together with Waterland as our partner, we will have much more weight, enabling us to play an active role in the increasing consolidation of our market. At the same time, we plan to continue our present strategy of expanding our portfolio in the direction of a full-service provider. The fact that Waterland only invests in premium companies confirms the quality of our solutions and the corporate development of Hanse Orga as a whole.” Expansion on an international level is also part of the company’s success story. Only recently, Hanse Orga opened new offices in Hong Kong and Spain.

“Demand for intelligent solutions to increase efficiency is driving growth in the IT sector. Hanse Orga operates in a dynamic segment of the market which is marked by rapid changes in the vendor landscape”, explains Jörg Dreisow, Managing Partner of Waterland and responsible for the DACH region. “Hanse Orga is a leading company with an outstanding platform for a buy-and-build strategy. Together with the family, we will continue to leverage growth opportunities systematically.”

Hanse Orga will pursue two growth paths. On the one hand, it is envisaged to expand the product portfolio along the entire financial supply chain. Hanse Orga is an established software provider for numerous large corporations and mid-sized companies in over fifty countries around the world and has earned their trust as a reliable partner in the highly sensitive areas of finance and treasury. As a full-service provider for all aspects of the financial supply chain, Hanse Orga will be able to offer corporate customers even greater value-added. Alongside organic growth, acquisitions will also be considered. The second strand is the internationalization with which Hanse Orga will optimize its support for existing international customers and identify new customer groups in additional countries. The US and Asia will become more significant in future.
