PwC is taking another step in the expansion of its award-winning corporate treasury consultancy activities, with the substantial extension of its Austrian Corporate Treasury Solutions team. Through this enhancement, PwC aims to continue its growth in the treasury consulting world, as well as furthering its leading position in the market – especially in German-speaking countries.

To lead these efforts, and the Austrian Corporate Treasury Solutions team, PwC has hired industry veteran, Erich Stark. He brings more than 18 years’ experience to the role, covering all aspects of corporate finance and treasury. This know-how was gained from both in-house positions and treasury consulting.

He then spent six years in treasury consulting, culminating in the post of Director at another Big Four firm, where he led numerous successful projects and expanded the corporate treasury advisory offering.

Stark is delighted that his industry expertise has now led him to PwC Austria – and is excited to take up the position of Head of Corporate Treasury Solutions in the country. He has ambitious plans for his new team, with the goal of taking the Austrian corporate treasury profession to new heights.

Stark has a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and a Master’s in Business Administration and Finance, both from the University of Vienna, and teaches corporate finance and treasury courses at a handful of universities. He has dual Austrian/US citizenship and is married with two small children.
